Learning together with a large customer

Shared mobility is one of the major trends in the mobility market. Recently the adoption of car sharing has really picking up among customers of Business Lease. Therefor Business Lease started developing a B2B car sharing concept. GO Share is currently live as a pilot product. Vivat, a large insurance company in the Netherlands was carefully selected customer to join our pilot. Together we are learning and getting valuable feedback. This feedback is directly integrated into the further development of the product and proposition. An agile way of developing a proposition into a mature version that is able to scale up.

GO Share driver app

Part of the GO Share proposition is our GO Share driver app. With this app, drivers can book a car, unlock and lock the car during the booking and have full insight in their upcoming and past bookings. Alongside the app, we will provide fleet managers with a management portal in which they can add and manage drivers and bookings. Combining the technology of unlocking and locking cars with your mobile phone and making online reservations, creates a smart system. This unburdens companies and their fleet managers of managing their fleet.

Business Lease Innovation Lab & Moove

GO Share is co-developed together with Moove Connected Mobility. Part of Smart Mobility Division. Business Lease Innovation Lab is taking care of the designs and overall product proposition where Moove is taking care of the technical part of the the development. A clear example of synergies within the AutoBinck family.

Stijn Otten wins ‘Talent of the Year award’

Stijn Otten, Director of the Innovation Lab at Business Lease, has been chosen as the biggest talent of the automotive industry. He won the Automotive Talent Award at the Automotive Gala 2018 last Friday. The prestigious prize was awarded by Alphabet CEO Norbert van den Eijnden. The winner of the previous edition, Sander Jansen, was a member of the jury.

In the last round of the competition Otten impressed the jury more than the other two finalists Pim van ‘t Hoenderdaal (Molco Car Parts) and Goshi Cheragwandi (Nissan Motors Netherlands). “I never expected to win tonight,” said Otten after the presentation. “I want to thank everyone from Business Lease and Autobinck who gave me and my team the opportunity and freedom to develop new opportunities for Business Lease.”

According to the jury, Stijn Otten really stands for what he believes in. “Sustainability is in his blood and he is a true strategic innovator.” Van den Eijnden said in his speech. “The jury wonders to what extent he can get used to a corporate structure, but his enthusiasm, versatility and focus on people really appealed to us.”

The jury sees Stijn as a strategic innovator, someone who gets others to take on new projects. “He may not fit as well as a line manager, of the three candidates we think he is the most analytical: the person who gets people on board and enthusiastic, as a coaching manager.”

Strict selection

The three talents were subjected to an assessment of Heiwegen Consultancy and presented themselves to an expert jury, including the previous winner of the election, Sander Jansen (Opel Nederland). The jury consisted of the former winners of the Company of the Year Company Jaco Remijn (Broekhuis Group) and Norbert van den Eijnden (Alphabet Car Lease International), Elske Doets (businesswoman of the year 2017) and Hans de Boer (Chairman of the VNO). NCW).

The winner was announced at the traditional Innovam-RDC Automotive Gala, which took place on Friday evening 26 January at the Bilderberg hotel in Garderen, The Netherlands. During this exclusive gala, the winner of the Automotive Company of the year Award was also announced: dealer holding company Autohaag Zeeuw, leasing company Hiltermann Lease Groep, parts distributor Fource Automotive Source.
